WISE WORDS ABOUT FORGIVENESS

To forgive a person who has made mistakes is not often easy.  It is how much we perceive the hurt that has been imposed on us, which depicts the way we can resolve matters in our own heart, mind and finally in our lives.

          Forgiveness can be obtained only when we, as a person, have healed enough to be able to finally walk away from that pain and grief.

          Not everybody can do it, as the torment sometimes can remain for a lifetime and that individual’s pain is constant, raw and daily there.

          Even with help on a professional basis, it is not always easy to bear.  The longer we entrench ourselves in that pain, the longer it will last.

          To be able to move away from that person, who inflicted that pain, is the only solution to full recovery and peace of mind.  Healing and peace cannot be achieved in an instant.

Depending on the severity of the injury and abuse, so the sensations can last many years – the trauma deep in the subconscious mind.

But gradually, over a period of time with much love and understanding, the individual can experience a time of peace and tranquillity, where life is restored and a feeling that one can at last learn to build a new life away from the abuser.

Life then begins to change for that individual and help is given in so many ways.  They become stronger, more resilient and can begin to feel part of a community again.

Then, as the individual evolves through patience and work on their recovery, so then over time forgiveness can occur.

We have to look also at what drove that individual to hurt us, for they would not only have hurt us, but many before us. 

We have to recognise that we are not the only victims and that many have suffered in varying degrees by the abuser.

We must stand tall and begin to learn self-respect and self-love and that will help us in becoming strong once again, thus leaving us able to carry on with life and not to become the victim again.

The choice has to be ours.  Forgiveness to that individual and also to grant forgiveness to ourselves for allowing it to happen in the first place, is to recognise in us a strength not thought possible before.

All must now watch out. The people will have their say. Also on ladylydialondon: The Taliban now wish to speak and to become part of an Afghan Government.  They will find it not easy to agree terms, as they are still so steadfast in their ways.  There is still growing hostility between Hamid Karzai and Taliban militia.  He is not prepared to share power wishing it all for himself.  Hamid Karzai, who is fed millions by the West, will not wish to relinquish any of it. Corruption is still fife and he grows fat on it.

“Now as we approach a New Year of unrest and indecision, we seem to plan for things, but are uncertain of their fruition under all this mayhem and global unrest.
 

“To dream of better things within oneself is all important, as we are a living and breathing object and we must keep moving on regardless of external forces.

“We are all now approaching various crossroads in our lives.  Some of us know which way to go already, others of us are uncertain and must see the way thrust open before us before we feel able to trust in that decision.

“Many of us will stare fear in the face and it will be unpleasant if we are not yet sure of our direction.  This is where help is on hand and it is all just a matter of asking, so that we are then aware of these events and can make the right decisions when faced by them.

“Nothing in life is ever there to destroy us, but to test our resolve, to see whether we have the guts to carry forth what is truly expected of us.

“Should we fail in this decision and harm comes to those around us, we will feel as if we have betrayed them in some way or another.

“Our motivation must be what is ultimately right for us and those around us.  We are not judged for our mistakes, rather the consequences of our actions.

“To know and to do what is right in our hearts, even under considerable hardship, will pay dividends and openings that seemed impossible open up at an amazing rate.

“We need to always do the right thing and not to allow fear to dominate our decisions, for then we will truly fall and so much then is lost for all time – for us to rise up against that fear and to put our trust in a Higher Intelligence, will always bear fruit and salvation.

“Out of nothing many things are born and many happenings do occur.

“We tend to see ourselves as little people instead of a big united force, where help is given when the right intentions are always there and a new path to salvation is assured.

“Look now towards your futures, not with trepidation and a heavy heart, but with love and trust and then your true path will.

“The coming New Year will expect greater things from all of you.  It is not just a question of sitting back and expecting.  You will be driven by a force not before imagined and that force will stretch you all beyond your wildest dreams.

“This is the beginning and I can assure you none will fall.

Following the hacking of our www.spiritualist-guidance.org Google have high-handedly removed it after two weeks of ignoring us as we tried to get access to it through their normal channels.  Then they suddenly gave it back, but I need to check it for virus before I can open it up safely and with the seasonal holidays my computer advisor isn’t available!  Please be patient and know that in the meantime I have rebuilt another site from scratch and make links available again on www.living-proof.biz so that another site has been born and can be viewed on www.jandmayers.blogspot.com The old website will be open again by the time you receive this newsletter.

Mayans 'did not predict world to end in 2012'

The Mayan civilisation developed a complex system of calendars

The calendar used by the ancient Mayan civilisation does not predict the end of the world in December 2012 as some believe, according to experts. A new reading of a Mayan tablet mentioning the 2012 date suggests that it refers to the end of an era in the calendar, and not an apocalypse.

The date was "a reflection of the day of creation", Mayan codes researcher Sven Gronemeyer told AP. The day also marked the return of a Mayan god, Mr Gronemeyer added. Bolon Yokte, the god of creation and war, was expected to return, according to Mr Gronemeyer's reading of a Mayan text carved into stone 1,300 years ago.

The date marks the end of one of the periods of roughly 400 years into which the Mayan calendar is divided. Mexico's National Institute for Anthropological History has also tried to counter speculation that the Mayans predicted a catastrophic event for 2012. Only two out of 15,000 registered Mayan texts mention the date 2012, according to the Institute, and no Mayan text predicts the end of the world.

"There is no prophecy for 2012. It is a marketing fallacy," Erik Velasquez, etchings specialist at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, told Reuters.

          Since we have survived the predicted doom and gloom merchants’ prophecy of the End of the World on the ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year of the twenty-first century, I thought it would be enlightening to ask Mustafa about the ending of the Mayan Calendar in 2012, in which year so many people are expecting things to happen…

“You must be joking.  This World hopefully by then will be set on a path of some type of righteous living and working.  All those who were selfish in one way or another will already have received their comeuppance and another wave of spiritual enlightenment, like a wave form, will start to further oust all small growths of unrest.

“Those people who have bought boats or even dwellings that will float at their so called appointed time, when the sea waters will rise and the land lost, will be so very disappointed.  Yes, the flood waters will rise, but equally there will be enormous draughts and much famine of which this Globe had not experienced for centuries.

“Until Man is aware that food is not in unlimited supply overall and where destruction to land and livestock occurs, so the delicate balance of nature then falls down.  Crops are not able to mature and in some cases are not able even to take root.  The Earth does not have an inexhaustible supply of food.  It is all starting to run out.

“Crops are indeed affected and the current climate, both economical and environmental, has brought about these collapses.  So the World will not end in 2012, but there will be a vast reawakening to Mankind that they must put precious resources to work and that they take precedence over profit every time.

“Profit to Man is of no use if that person is starving.  A luxury house is of no use if you are dying of thirst and there is no longer water to drink.  The World can only supply so much and until Mankind comes to his senses then more will have to suffer until the necessary adjustment is put into action.

“So the World will not blow up and cease to exist.  It will however be on a path to get matters of enormous necessity for the sustaining of human life back into balance, whereby new ways to produce food and water are realised and a new beginning starts to evolve.  It will only be a start, but in itself that is something.”

This was sent to us by a friend who knew Common Sense and I feel compelled to share:   Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; accidents may happen; if it ain't broken, don't fix it; why the early bird gets the worm; life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home but the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little on her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion, his daughters, Responsibility and Integrity and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights; I Want It Now; Someone Else Is To Blame and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
